The Mighty Gobbler is a Thanksgiving tradition! A 5k race and 1 mile fun run/walk through a quiet Troy neighborhood. Hosted by Lutheran Church of the Master, this is the only USATF certified 5K course in Michigan on Thanksgiving Day, and a great way to start your holiday before the big feast!  TSHIRTS and AWESOME AWARDS for all participants!!  Time: Thanksgiving morning, November 27, starting at 8:30 am for the 1 Mile fun run/walk and 9:00 am for the 5K.   Location: ​The race will begin in the parking lot in front of 3290 W. Big Beaver Road in Troy. The course winds through neighborhoods and commercial areas and is a mixture of roads and sidewalks. ​​Events: There will be two events: a 5K Run and a 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk. ​Registration: Register online until Tuesday, November 25 at midnight.  Register in person at packet pickup on Wednesday and Thursday.  If at all possible, plan to register before Thursday to avoid long lines!  ​ ​Packet Pickup: Wednesday, November 26, 4:00-7:00 pm at Lutheran Church of the master, 3333 Coolidge Highway, Troy, MI  48084 Thursday, November 27, 7:30 a.m.at 3290 W. Big Beaver Road, Troy, MI  48084 Charity Partners: Since 2015 the Mighty Gobbler has donated over $120,000 and over 10,000 canned goods to our community.  Proceeds from this year's race will go to Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers, and Micah 6 Community. Raffle: Bring canned goods of food to be donated to Troy People Concerned for a chance to win raffle gifts.  Each can donated gives you a raffle ticket.  (Canned goods must not be past expiration to be eligible.)
