About

The 54th running of the Yuengling Shamrock Marathon Weekend is the oldest continuously running road race in Virginia Beach. Founded in 1973 by Jerry and Lori Bocrie with just 59 entrants and 38 finishers, it has grown to expect 25,000 participants across all distances. The flat, fast, and scenic Boston-qualifying course finishes overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, making it a favorite for runners chasing PRs. The St. Paddy's Day tradition continues with a post-race beach celebration featuring Yuengling Beer and live music.
