About This Race
The Zurich Marato Barcelona is Spain's first popular marathon, first run in 1978 in Palafrugell before moving to Barcelona in 1980. Holding World Athletics Silver Label status, the fast course takes runners past iconic landmarks including La Sagrada Familia, Casa Batllo, the Arc de Triomf, and along the Mediterranean seafront. The 2026 edition sold out, making it the most attended edition in history with over 20,000 runners from more than 100 countries.
