About This Race
The BMW Dallas Marathon, founded in 1971 at White Rock Lake, is one of the longest-running marathons in the American South. The course takes runners through downtown Dallas, across the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge, through the Design District, along Turtle Creek, through Highland Park, around White Rock Lake, and down the historic Swiss Avenue district. The weekend festival features a 50K ultra, marathon, half marathon, 10K, 5K, kids races, and a Friday Night Lights Mile.
