About This Race
The California International Marathon (CIM) is one of the ten largest marathons in the United States and the premier point-to-point Boston qualifier on the West Coast. The net-downhill course starts in Folsom's scenic foothills and finishes at the historic California State Capitol, with a net elevation drop of 366 feet. Organized by the Sacramento Running Association since 1983, CIM has been selected to host the 2025 and 2026 USATF Marathon Championships. It features a strict 6-hour course cutoff and sells out at record speed every year.
