About This Race
The Maratón Internacional de Costa Rica runs through San José and the Central Valley — Costa Rica's highland capital in the heart of one of the world's happiest and most biodiverse nations. The cool highland course (1,170m altitude) winds through Escazú's upscale western suburbs, past San José's ornate Teatro Nacional, through La Sabana Metropolitan Park (Costa Rica's Central Park), and along the scenic Autopista Florencio del Castillo.
