About This Race
The Crater Lake Rim Runs offer one of the most breathtaking marathon courses in the United States, circling the rim of Crater Lake at elevations ranging from 5,980 to 7,850 feet above sea level. Now in its 48th year, the event features distances of 6.7 miles, 13.0 miles, and a full marathon of 26.2 miles, all run on paved roads with the final 4 miles of the marathon on dirt and pumice. Limited to just 500 participants on a first-come, first-served basis, this intimate race is organized by Wynne Broadcasting Company and directed by Rob Coffman.
