About This Race
The Generali Cologne Marathon takes runners from the Deutz district across the Rhine, past the world-famous Cologne Cathedral, and through the bustling neighborhoods of Germany's fourth-largest city. Since its inception in 1997, the event has attracted runners from across the globe to its scenic, mostly flat course along the Rhine. The marathon weekend includes a half marathon, relay marathon, school runs, and kids' races, making it a true celebration of running in the Rhineland.
