About This Race
The Grand Canyon Half runs along the South Rim of the Grand Canyon — the most awe-inspiring geological wonder on Earth, a 277-mile-long, mile-deep chasm carved by the Colorado River over 5-6 million years. The paved Rim Trail course follows the very edge of the canyon from Mather Point to Hermit's Rest, with the canyon's impossible colours (red, orange, purple, white) changing in the November light below. The only road race run along the rim of the Grand Canyon.
