About This Race
The Great Barrier Reef Marathon Festival is one of the world's most unique destination running events — held in Port Douglas, the gateway to both the Great Barrier Reef and the ancient Daintree Rainforest. Runners race through World Heritage–listed tropical rainforest, along Cape Tribulation's remote beaches, and past Mossman Gorge's crystal clear waterfalls. Often attended by runners who combine it with reef snorkelling and rainforest tours.
