About This Race
The Great New York State Marathon, formerly the Empire State Marathon, takes runners on a beautiful tree-lined course looping around Onondaga Lake in Syracuse. First held in 2011, the certified Boston qualifier features a scenic lakeside route through Central New York. The weekend includes a full marathon, half marathon, 10K, and 5K.
