About This Race
The Hartford Marathon is New England's fastest and best-organized BQ — a flat course starting at Bushnell Park beneath Connecticut's Gilded Age gold-domed State Capitol at absolutely peak fall foliage. The course winds along the Connecticut River, past the Mark Twain House (where America's greatest author wrote Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn), through Elizabeth Park's rose garden, and through West Hartford's blue Pond neighborhood. October in Hartford means the most spectacular leaf color in all New England.
