About This Race
The CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Marathon is one of the fastest-growing marathons in the United States, achieving its 13th consecutive sellout. Founded in 2008 by Carlton Ray and organized by the nonprofit Beyond Monumental, the flat and fast course highlights the landmarks and historic neighborhoods of Indianapolis, starting and finishing at the Indiana State Capitol. Named by Runner's World as one of the nine best new U.S. marathons in 2014, the event offers a marathon, half marathon, and 5K.
