Report a correctionAbout this race
Held every April since 2003, reviving a Zurich race first run in the 1980s, the Zurich Marathon is a flat, fast out-and-back largely following the Lake Zurich shoreline, with a turnaround at Meilen before the closing kilometres wind through the city centre to finish at Sechselautenplatz. The course is certified to World Athletics and AIMS standards, and about 70% of runners set personal bests. Distances span the full marathon, half marathon and Z10 10K, and recent editions have sold out.
