About This Race

The Zeigler Kalamazoo Marathon traces its roots back to 1980 as the Borgess Run for the Health of It, founded by John Daley to promote health through exercise. Now sponsored by Zeigler Auto Group since 2022, the event returns to iconic Bronson Park in downtown Kalamazoo. All routes are USATF certified, with the full and half marathon courses certified as Boston Marathon qualifiers. The race offers a marathon, half marathon, 10K, and 5K through Kalamazoo's scenic streets and parks.
