About This Race
The Lake Tahoe Marathon runs around the rim of North America's most breathtakingly beautiful alpine lake — the crystal-clear sapphire waters of Lake Tahoe sitting at 6,225 feet in the Sierra Nevada range between California and Nevada. The point-to-point autumn course runs along Tahoe's less-travelled wilderness shores, through Emerald Bay State Park, past the granite boulder beaches, and along the western shoreline ridge trail with the lake's impossible cobalt-blue at every bend.
