About This Race
The Maratón Lima 42K runs through Peru's capital — the City of Kings — established by conquistador Francisco Pizarro in 1535. The course winds through Lima's magnificent UNESCO-listed historic centre with its colonial churches and plazas, along the dramatic Pacific cliffside Malecón Miraflores overlooking the ocean, through Barranco's bohemian neighbourhood, and returns via the modern financial district of San Isidro. Peru's biggest running event.
