About This Race
The Baxters Loch Ness Marathon is one of Britain's most scenic and atmospheric races — a point-to-point course running along the entire southern shore of legendary Loch Ness through dramatic Scottish Highland scenery. From Fort Augustus, the course follows the Great Glen Way through ancient birch forests, past ruined castles on the loch shore, through Urquhart Castle (where Nessie sightings are most reported), and finishes in Inverness — the capital of the Highlands.
