About This Race
The Marathon de Lyon winds through France's gastronomic capital along the Rhône and Saône rivers — Lyon sits uniquely at the confluence of two major rivers and is a UNESCO World Heritage city. The course passes through the stunning Renaissance old town (Vieux-Lyon), the Presqu'île peninsula, the Croix-Rousse silk-weavers' hill, and along the Rhône riverbanks. France's second-largest marathon.
