About This Race
The Maui Marathon runs across the Valley Isle — past Haleakala's 10,023-foot volcanic crater silhouetted against the sunrise sky, along the Hana Highway's sea cliffs, through the historic whaling town of Lahaina with its enormous banyan tree, and along the west Maui coast where humpback whales breach in the Pacific Channel. A hilly, spiritually rewarding Hawaiian race through history, culture, and volcanic landscape.
