The course runs across the iconic Red Square with the Kremlin walls and St. Basil's Cathedral onion domes as backdrop, along the Moscow River embankments, past Gorky Park, through the historic Arbat pedestrian street, and finishes at Luzhniki Olympic Stadium — built for the 1980 Moscow Olympics.
