About This Race

The Osaka Marathon is one of Japan's largest city marathons, drawing over 30,000 runners through the vibrant streets of Osaka. The course starts in front of the Osaka Prefectural Government Building and passes through the city's most iconic landmarks including Osaka Castle, Midosuji Boulevard, Nakanoshima, Tsutenkaku Tower, and Kyocera Dome before finishing at INTEX Osaka. Known as the City of Food, runners are treated to enthusiastic crowd support and local snacks along the route. The event also features a shorter 7.2km distance called the 720 Naniwa Marathon.
