About

The Fall Prairie Fire Marathon presented by Davis-Moore Automotive Group is Wichita's signature distance running event, organized by the Greater Wichita Area Sports Commission since 2010. The adventure kicks off along the Arkansas River at sunrise, winding through downtown Wichita, past historic neighborhoods, through scenic parks, and along the river's edge before finishing at Equity Bank Park. The event includes the full marathon, half marathon, 5K, and the Mayor's Friendly 5K (untimed). A separate Spring Prairie Fire series also takes place each May featuring a half marathon.
