About This Race
The Alaska Airlines Rock 'n' Roll Seattle Marathon is a two-day running festival featuring live music, entertainment, and running through Seattle's most iconic neighborhoods. The course starts at the Seattle Center and features long, flat stretches along Lake Union, with a challenging hill toward the end of the race, finishing in the shadow of the Space Needle. The event offers a 5K on Saturday and a full marathon and half marathon on Sunday, benefiting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Part of the global Rock 'n' Roll Running Series since 2009.
