About This Race
The 49th annual San Francisco Marathon starts and finishes on the Embarcadero near the Ferry Building. The course crosses the Golden Gate Bridge and runs through Golden Gate Park, Fisherman's Wharf, and past Oracle Park. Offering a full marathon, two distinct half marathons, 10K, 5K, and an ultramarathon (52.4 miles), this is one of the most comprehensive race weekends in California. Founded in 1977, it attracts more than 25,000 runners from around the world.
