About This Race
The Santa Barbara International Marathon runs through one of California's most beautiful cities — the American Riviera — where the Santa Ynez Mountains drop dramatically to meet the Pacific. The flat coastal course winds along the bike path fronting Santa Barbara's idyllic beaches, past the red-tile Spanish Colonial Revival courthouse and Stearns Wharf, through the historic Mission Santa Barbara (the "Queen of the Missions"), and through Montecito's garden estates.
