The St. George Marathon, first run in November 1977, is one of the most iconic destination marathons in the western United States. The smooth downhill course descends from the Pine Valley Mountains through stunning red rock canyons to the finish in St. George. Organized by the City of St. George, the 2026 edition is capped at 5,000 marathon runners, 2,000 half marathon runners, and 1,000 5K runners. Registration opens April 1 and fills quickly.
