About This Race

The Albuquerque International Half Marathon runs through the Land of Enchantment at 5,000 feet elevation along the Rio Grande and through Albuquerque's Old Town and Bosque nature preserve. The September race coincides with early Balloon Fiesta season, when thousands of colorful hot-air balloons often dot the New Mexico sky. Marathon and half marathon wind through this unique high-desert city.
