About This Race

The EVA Air Brisbane Marathon Festival is Queensland's premier running event, taking participants through the scenic streets of the River City. Starting from Margaret Street in the CBD, the certified course winds along the Brisbane River, through South Bank, past the Story Bridge, and finishes in the beautiful City Botanic Gardens. Founded in 1992 by Steve Manning, the event has grown into one of Australia's most popular running festivals. The 2026 edition features a full marathon, half marathon, 10km, 5km, and a kids 2km Mini Marathon.
