About This Race
The Novant Health Charlotte Marathon is Charlotte's premiere running event, recently acquired by the Charlotte Sports Foundation to usher in a new era for the city's signature race. The 2025 edition was the largest in race history with over 11,000 runners. The scenic, winding Boston-qualifying course takes runners through some of Charlotte's most historic and eclectic neighborhoods, including tree-lined boulevards, arts districts, and cultural landmarks. All events start and finish in Uptown Charlotte and benefit Novant Health Hemby Children's Hospital.
