About This Race

The AJ Bell Great South Run is the world's leading 10-mile road race, held annually in the historic naval city of Portsmouth. Founded in 1990, the flat course takes runners past Portsmouth's iconic landmarks including the Historic Dockyard, the Spinnaker Tower, and along the scenic Southsea seafront. The event weekend also features a 5K on Saturday. It attracts around 25,000 runners and is part of the Great Run series.
