About This Race
The Great Wall Marathon is one of the world's most iconic and gruelling adventure races — running over 5,164 stone steps of the actual Great Wall of China at the remote Huangyaguan section. The course alternates between ascending and descending the ancient wall's steep sections (45-degree inclines), through mountain valleys, villages, and farmland. Voted one of the world's toughest marathons and one of its most breathtaking. Only 2,000 spots.
