About This Race

The Leadville Trail 100 Run — 'The Race Across the Sky' — is one of the world's most legendary ultra events, run at an average altitude of 10,200 feet (3,109m) through Colorado's stunning Rocky Mountain high country. The course crests Hope Pass twice (12,620 ft / 3,847m), threads through Leadville's historic mining ghost towns at 10,152 feet (America's highest incorporated city), and tests competitors with 60-hour cutoff limits. Made famous by Christopher McDougall's 'Born to Run.'
