The Mankato Marathon is held annually in mid-October through the scenic Minnesota River valley. Founded in 2010 by Visit Mankato, the event has grown from 2,000 entries in its inaugural year to a popular fall destination race. The course begins at Minnesota State University, Mankato, makes two loops through the city, and finishes on historic Front Street. The event offers a full marathon, half marathon, relay, 10K, 5K, and a KidsK, plus challenge options like the Mega-Kato (5K + full marathon).
