About this race
The Marathon International d'Abidjan runs through Ivory Coast's economic capital — the Paris of West Africa — a remarkable city of gleaming glass skyscrapers mirrored in the enormous Ébrié Lagoon, with the smell of street-grilled plantain and attiéké wafting through. The course winds across the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Bridge spanning the lagoon, through the Plateau business district, past the famous Saint Paul Cathedral, and along Cocody's elegant riverside suburbs.
