About This Race
The Bayshore Marathon is a Memorial Weekend tradition in Traverse City, Michigan, celebrating its 44th anniversary in 2026. Founded in 1983 by members of the Traverse City Track Club who wanted to share the beauty of the Grand Traverse Region and Old Mission Peninsula, the race has become a must-run destination for Midwest runners. The scenic point-to-point course runs along the shores of Grand Traverse Bay with stunning water views. The race also offers a half marathon, 10K, and kids' fun run.
