About This Race
The Bighorn Mountain Wild and Scenic Trail Run is one of the most difficult mountain ultras in the United States, featuring 100-mile, 52-mile, 32-mile, and 18-mile distances through the Bighorn National Forest. The 100-mile distance is a qualifier for both the Western States Endurance Run and Hardrock Hundred Mile Endurance Run, with over 20,500 feet of ascent and 20,750 feet of descent across 76 miles of technical single-track trail, 16 miles of rugged jeep road, and 8 miles of gravel road. The event operates under a special use permit with the Bighorn National Forest and finishes at Scott Bicentennial Park in Dayton. Registration opens October 15 for the 100M and 52M, and January 5 for the 32M and 18M.
