The CIB Cairo International Marathon is one of the world's most dramatic running destinations — a race in the shadow of the Great Pyramids of Giza and the ancient Sphinx. The unique course around the Giza Plateau lets runners pass within metres of the 4,500-year-old pyramids — the last of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World still standing.
