About This Race
The City of Oaks Marathon runs through Raleigh at peak fall foliage — the city's massive oak canopy exploding in reds and golds of November. The BQ course winds through the North Carolina Museum of Art grounds, along Shelley Lake, through the Research Triangle's university-district greenways, past NC State's brick Brutalist campus, through the vibrant Glenwood South restaurant strip, and past the state's grand neoclassical Capitol building.
