About this race
The Egyptian Marathon is the oldest ongoing marathon in Africa and the Middle East, now in its 33rd year. Starting near the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the course passes historic sites including the temples of Habou and Amenophis, and the Colossi of Memnon on Luxor's West Bank. The event offers full marathon, half marathon, and shorter distances. Registration is open to both Egyptian residents and international participants.
