About This Race
The Eugene Marathon runs through Track Town USA — the greatest running city in America, home of Hayward Field (the world's premier track stadium), Steve Prefontaine (the most electric distance runner in US history), Bill Bowerman (Nike co-founder), and the University of Oregon's legendary running program. The flat, fast BQ course runs past Hayward Field, along the Willamette River path, through the Pre's Trail (the dirt running path named for Prefontaine), and back through U of O campus.
