About This Race
Grandma's Marathon runs along the breathtaking North Shore of Lake Superior — the world's largest freshwater lake by surface area, holding 10% of the world's fresh surface water. The point-to-point downhill course runs from Two Harbors along Highway 61 (the famed Dylan road) beside the astonishing blue expanse of Lake Superior's rocky shoreline, under cliff overhangs, past lighthouses, and into Duluth's port canal district — one of America's top BQ courses.
