About This Race
The Standard Chartered Kampala Marathon runs through Uganda — the Pearl of Africa — in one of East Africa's most vibrant capitals. Kampala sits on seven hills (like Rome) near the source of the Nile, Lake Victoria. The hilly course winds through Kololo's hilltop government district, past the Kasubi Royal Tombs (UNESCO), through the bustling Old Taxi Park, and along the Lake Victoria waterfront. Uganda's premier running event with incredible equatorial energy.
