About This Race
The GSO Limassol Marathon is the largest running event in the Eastern Mediterranean — a flat, fast World Athletics Gold Label race along Cyprus's Mediterranean coast. The course hugs the Limassol seafront boardwalk, past the medieval Limassol Castle (where Richard the Lionheart married Berengaria of Navarre in 1191 during the Third Crusade), along the Cape Greco coastal road with brilliant turquoise sea, and through the Carob Mill waterfront district.
