About This Race
The Mardi Gras Marathon is New Orleans at its most vibrant — a flat BQ race through America's most unique city during the heart of the Mardi Gras season. The course runs through the oak-draped streets of the Garden District's antebellum mansions, down St. Charles Avenue with its historic streetcar, through the French Quarter's iron-lace balconies on Bourbon Street (with jazz spilling from every door), past Jackson Square and the St. Louis Cathedral, along the Mississippi Riverwalk, and through Faubourg Marigny.
