About This Race
The Missoula Marathon is one of America's most celebrated destination marathons — a Boston qualifier that winds through "Trail City, USA," one of the West's most outdoor-obsessed mountain towns. The predominantly flat, fast course runs along the Clark Fork River trail, through the University of Montana campus, past the M hiking sign on Mount Sentinel, and finishes at the garden-party atmosphere of Caras Park beside the river.
