About This Race
The Naha Marathon is Okinawa's premier marathon event, established in 1985 to celebrate 25 years of sisterhood between Naha and Honolulu. The scenic 42.195km course takes runners through the subtropical capital of Okinawa, passing cityscapes, ocean views, and the moving Peace Memorial Park in the south of the island. Known for its incredible local support, spectators line the route offering food, music, and eisa dance performances. With a capacity of 30,000 runners, it consistently sells out within minutes of registration opening.
