About This Race
The Nouméa Marathon runs through New Caledonia's capital on an island that is simultaneously deeply French in culture and surrounded by the world's second-largest coral lagoon (UNESCO World Heritage). The coastal course winds along Nouméa's Anse Vata and Baie des Citrons bays with vivid turquoise UNESCO lagoon views, past the iconic Tjibaou Cultural Centre, and through Nouméa's leafy tropical suburbs with baguette bakeries next to Kanak art galleries.
