Starting at Balboa Park and finishing in downtown San Diego, the course winds through eight vibrant neighborhoods featuring live bands, DJs, cheer squads, and enthusiastic fans at every turn. The inaugural race attracted nearly 20,000 runners from 30 countries and has since grown into one of the largest running events in the United States with up to 30,000 participants.
