About This Race

The West Texas Ultra takes place at Lake Meredith National Recreation Area in the Texas Panhandle near Fritch. The event offers 50-mile, 50K, and 25K distances on rugged canyon and mesa trails overlooking Lake Meredith. Runners navigate the dramatic Canadian River breaks with colorful sandstone formations, deep canyons, and expansive Panhandle views. The remote location and challenging terrain make this a true adventure race in one of the least-explored regions of Texas.
